Infounite Inc interacts with many customers that require business solutions be deployed rapidly. To meet the customers and business needs the Information Technology applications are built to bring process efficiency and rapid response. However, many of these applications, unless built strategically, lack reusability, rapid response and are disparate. It was apparent that more sophisticated solutions and tools were required to meet these goals. Infounite undertook the task of analyzing various integration tools. Microsoft BizTalk Server® 2013 R2 was selected as the tool of choice and sample applications were built using this tool. The Integration Center (IC) team was formed to develop and manage integration projects.
Customer/Client Services:
Customer Integration (CI) is to automate the delivery of customer records from various sources, to the respective staffing client applications. The application is built to support infounite’s client project initiative. CI was built to support staffing client maintaining the generic model concept to allow easy expansion in the future.
In exchanging the customer data, the application preserves chronological order of the data. The application allows both new, and modifications to the customer data to pass thru’ this interface.
The application performs limited validation and enrichment of the incoming data. The validation rules are scoped to ensure that the information is self-sufficient and to maintain the data integrity. The application provides the capability of tracking the key information in real time using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) feature.
Employee Services:
Employee and Candidate Integration is to automate the delivery of employee and candidate records from various sources, to the respective Kelly applications. The application is built to support Client’s Customer Processing project initiative. One of the client’s project requirements is to exchange employee data with Front Office application. EI was built to support interface maintaining the generic model concept to allow easy expansion in the future. .
In exchanging the employee data from/with client, the application preserves chronological order of the data. The application allows both new, and modifications to the employee data to pass thru’ this interface.
The application performs limited validation and enrichment of the incoming data. The validation rules are scoped to ensure that the information is self-sufficient and to maintain the data integrity. The application provides the capability of tracking the key information in real time using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) feature.
Timecard Services:
Timecard Integration is to automate the delivery of timecards from various sources, internal or external, to clients back office systems. The application is built to handle original timecards primarily, although recently adjusted timecards from an internal source is handled by the application. The application handles timecards from many external sources and is designed to interface with Legacy payroll.
The application performs limited validation and enrichment of the timecards. The validation rules are scoped to ensure that the information is self-sufficient and maintain the data integrity (such as hours field contains only numeric data, and date fields are valid as per the calendar). Any payroll related rules are handled in the payroll applications only. The application provides the capability of tracking the key information in real time using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) feature. Also, SharePoint is used for user interaction including timecard correction
Order Services:
Order Integration is to automate the delivery of orders and assignments from various sources, internal or external, to the respective client’s applications. The application is built to handle original orders and order requests primarily, although recently order changes from one of the sources, are handled by the application. The application handles data from many external sources and is designed to interface with client’s front office application(s).

The application provides the capability of tracking the key information in real time using Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) feature. Also, SharePoint is used for user interaction
Invoices Services:
Invoice Processor is the integration initiative to generate custom invoices for selective customers. These invoices are in custom XML layouts. The application interacts with legacy invoicing applications, which perform the business logic. IP contains the framework to support rapid XML output creation and maintains trading partner relationship using Business Activity Services. The invoices are generated for four customers (at the time of preparing this document) with the frequency varying from weekly to monthly.
